HSO
This service can help individuals with physical or mental impairments develop a plan to get trained and employed, and to live more independently. It may also help determine that one is unable to work due to disability and thus possibly entitled to financial benefits or compensation. HSO uses interviews, personal history, testing, and exploration of options in the assessment process. In the most challenging situations we may also use situational assessment. This modality helps evaluate individual strengths, weaknesses, interests, and employability in real work situations. Comprehensive written assessment reports are available to referral sources.
Vocational Rehabilitation Assessment
Transferable Skills Analysis (TSA)
Job Services
Case Management
Provides professional coordination of services and a single point of contact to clients during vocational rehabilitation programs.
Assesses skills already developed through past employment, education, training, and other experiences. TSA identifies new jobs that can be done with little or no additional training or experience. For most people TSA is useful when there is a desire or need to change occupations. This can happen after a job loss, if one becomes disabled, or if there is interest in changing to a more satisfying career. TSA is usually integrated into our rehabilitation assessments, and is also offered as a stand alone service.
These services help consumers locate good job opportunities, interview effectively, get employed, and retain jobs. We can also do labor market surveys to see whether openings for suitable jobs really exist in the local area.
