HSO provides vocational assessments, ongoing case management and support, and job placement for cases referred by attorneys. Our staff experience includes short and long term disability cases, personal injury, and workers' compensation. Our staff has also testified on thousands of Social Security disability cases.

Competency Screening
This service is appropriate when there is concern that guardianship may be needed. We assess capacity of the individual to independently care for and make decisions about self and property. We can then estimate capacities in standard areas consistent with state laws and make recommendations regarding guardianship or alternative options. We have assessed hundreds of elderly individuals and younger adults with cognitive impairments due to injuries, disease, or congenital disorders for incapacity, and have made recommendations for care, rehabilitation, and independent living options.
